Message from the President
Bula Vinaka, Namaste, Hello and Assalam O Alaikum everyone!!!
A belated happy New Year to you all! As we take on 2018, refreshed and recharged, I wanted to reach out to all my fellow bankers and FIB members across Fiji to highlight a few of our priorities for the year.
FIB has come a long way over the last year in an attempt to build the institute into an organization that can add greater value to its members. We want to see bankers make the most of FIB’s learning and development opportunities, sporting and social events and provide a platform for national reward and recognition of our noble profession….

Some feedback and testimonials about FIB
I have been a General Member of FIB for seven (7) years and my experience has been nothing short of impressive.
I personally found Seminars and Workshops organized by FIB to be practical, informative and relevant for Bankers in Fiji. Social gatherings such as the annual Quiz Nite is something I look forward to and now with the revival of the Bankers’ Sports Day, I can’t help but commend the team at FIB for continuously trying to improve the level of service and support rendered to its members.
VINAKA FIB !!!
I have been a financial member of FIB since 2010, the year I joined the banking industry.
Being a member has provided me with great opportunities, especially around the Scholarship I received for my Post Graduate Unit.
I am forever grateful to FIB to awarding the scholarship of $1,000.00, which was a kick-start to my postgraduate studies.
Additionally, I have been attending the functions organised by FIB and it’s very interesting to note the varieties of initiatives taken by the organisers to ensure relevant and important information in passed across through seminars and members get to have bit of fun in the activities organised as well. Some recommendations for the FIB activities are movie nights, cocktails, watching special shows, games, team building exercises around Suva, Resort Retreats (of-course, arrange with members to save and all can enjoy).
I strongly encourage everyone to become members to enjoy the various events and be a part of this great Institution.
I have been a Financial member of FIB since 2011.
FIB activities have really gained momentum and is increasing collaboration amongst members and bankers.
Banking and Financial sector plays a significant part in the Fiji economy and it would be good to organize conferences inviting local and internal speakers sharing their experiences and ideas with members.
