The Fiji Institute of Bankers (FIB) continues to value the professionalism of its members by nurturing them with training opportunities.

At its 25th Annual General Meeting attended by bankers across Fiji early this month, it was announced that the institute will provide educational opportunities for 10 of its members to enhance their banking skills and to meet the ongoing demand of their customers.

FIB President, Saud Minam, announced ten (10) scholarships worth $5000 each for its members this year during the meeting that was held in Suva on Wednesday, 23 August 2017.

Mr Minam told members that the institute is increasing the scholarship from two to ten and increasing their value from $2000 each to $5000 each.

“This is a testament to the FIB’s commitment to the ongoing development of Fiji’s bankers in order to broaden their professional opportunities to help them thrive in their careers, and also for the benefit of our customers.”

He said the FIB Committee of Management will work on revising the criteria for the scholarships and members could expect to hear soon from the Secretariat on these new opportunities.
