The Fiji Institute of Bankers (FIB) is now accepting applications from interested members who wish to apply for the TEN prestigious scholarships for the 2018 academic year.

During the FIB Annual General Meeting in August this year, FIB President Mr Saud Minam announced these ten scholarships.

He said the Scholarship is a testament to the FIB’s commitment to the ongoing development of the Fiji’s Bankers in order to broaden their professional opportunities to help them thrive in their careers.

The Scholarship is opened for FIB members only, there are certain criteria that you members need to meet in order to be eligible to apply.

In order to be eligible, members should be a citizen or a permanent residence of Fiji and must have been employed on a continuous full-time basis in a FIB Affiliate member for a minimum of two years as of the scholarship application deadline in mid-December 2017.

In addition applicants must first be accepted by a recognized Tertiary Institution in Fiji or Overseas for the completion of either Certificate, Diploma, Degree or Post-Graduate Program (including Online Programs), however the program of study must be related to the work areas in the Banking Industry of Fiji.

FIB recognized Institutions are: University of the South Pacific, Fiji National University, University of Fiji or any other reputable or recognized University or Institution local or overseas.

Interested applicants must provide a written support of his/her employer for Scholarship through their respective Human Resource Department.

FIB had formed a committee to oversee the application and selection processes.  The deadline for applications is 15th December 2017 and the successful applications will be announced in mid-January 2018.

Incomplete application forms without proper documentations will not be considered.  All application forms should be submitted to FIB Executive Secretary/Treasurer.
