The Institute is organizing two 2-day Workshops to be held in Nadi, for West Bankers on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th July and for Suva Bankers on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th July 2018.

These Workshops include hands on activities to give participants the tools and techniques to identify and leverage their strengths and build up their personal and organizational leadership. Focus is to leverage their knowledge and the techniques they learn towards achieving greater successes.

OBJECTIVE

Day 1: Building Leaders

§ Interactive quizzes will pinpoint participants specific strengths

§ Individual and group activities will model how this can be applied in the workplace

§ Strategic planning guidance will help set their course for continued professional growth

Day 2: Empowered Workplaces

Learn to apply the techniques from Day one to the workplace after a quick refresher on the concepts from the first day and examine how the identified strengths can be combined for greater impact through an examination of what makes up an inclusive workplace.

FACILITATORS

§ Dr Dilawar Grewal, PhD. Has more than two decades of experience in higher education, including 8 years as an advisor and/or higher education administrator in Fiji and the Pacific. He has been a Vice President (DVC equivalent) with the University of the South Pacific with an extensive portfolio including strategic planning, IT, HR and other departments. He is a conceptual thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset;

§ Mrs Amerika Grewal, MS, BA, is a Creative Educator, Mentor, Capacity Builder and Trainer and has extensive experience in career development, counseling, training, and social media strategy in the fields of higher education and community engagement. He is the 2017-2018 President of the Rotary Club of Suva East and serves on the board of the Rotary Pacific Water for Life Foundation.
